# What happens when a company reports new results?

When a company reports new results, we update its Official and publish a new version; your fork doesn't change by itself, and you're told if you forked the Official directly or saved the company.

## The steps

1. The company reports new results on its investor-relations site.
2. We update the Official: the new actual figures go in, and the forecasts are revised.
3. The new version passes the same checks before it is published: Typecel's checks, with no errors or warnings, and our own checks of its methods and citations.
4. The new version is published on the company page, with the date it was updated and its version number.
5. If you forked the Official directly, or saved the company, you're told.

## Your fork

Your fork keeps the version you made it from, with your assumptions. To bring in the new results, start your fork again from the new version.

A fork of someone else's view isn't told when the Official changes. To be told, save the company.

We aim to update an Official after the company reports, but we don't promise when.
